Would be a nice veteran pickup for the Angels at second wit postseason experience.

Unless the Angels get Iguchi signed before midnight he cannot be on their postseason roster.

Yeah, that's true. They got 10 min left, I dont see why they wouldn't, Iguchi is an upgrade over Rodriguez and Wood will be OK at SS.

Tomko has been stealing money for YEARS. Perhaps now, finally, GMs around the league will have figured out that he just stinks.

I think this is the end of Tomko in MLB.

Does anyone else think it was unclassy of the organization to release these guys 10 minutes before the deadline? If they just released them a day earlier, a team probably would have picked up Iguchi for the post-season. Tomko doesnt matter.

I thought Iguchi was signed via Free Agency from the Phillies. Oh and the Padres most likely needed room on their 40 man roster so they got rid of some dead weight.

Seriously, when are teams going to stop throwing millions at Bombko? If you really want to make him a project, sign him to a minor league deal and convert him to a full time short-middle reliever.
