*sigh*

The AL Central loses a lot of wins...

Gonna miss those blown saves from Todd.

I can actually hear the sounds of everyone in Detroit cheering.

i admit that jones needed to retire, but you have to admit the guy loved the game more than most.

He'll probably end up on Baseball Tonight. I hope he replaces John Kruk who is an idiot on that show.

I really dig his columns in the Sporting News. Hope he keeps doing em

todd jones may have retired, but the $64,000 dollar question is if his handlebar mustache has retired

"The AL Central loses a lot of wins...

Yes all 3 of them from this year. He is actually 3rd on the Tigers this year in blown saves behind Rodney and Zumaya. And he is still tied for 11th in the AL in saves.

the mets sure could've used him...

True, the Mets would have already won the NL East if Jones was their closer.

Well, he always made the 9th inning interesting.

I'm not a fan of Detroit teams, but boy is it a good day for them,The Lions fire Matt Millen and Todd Jones retires.

"Well, he always made the 9th inning interesting."

True. I remember watching him against the Red Sox before thinking we had our best shot in the 9th.

Todd Jones = First witness for the prosecution in the case against saves as a meaningful statistic.
