Stan McNeal of Sporting News says reliever Todd Jones plans to announce his retirement tomorrow. He pitched for eight teams, racking up 319 saves in 1,072 innings.

i admit that jones needed to retire, but you have to admit the guy loved the game more than most.

He'll probably end up on Baseball Tonight. I hope he replaces John Kruk who is an idiot on that show.

Yes all 3 of them from this year. He is actually 3rd on the Tigers this year in blown saves behind Rodney and Zumaya. And he is still tied for 11th in the AL in saves.
