According to a press release at MLB.com, the Twins exercised backup catcher Mike Redmond's $950K option as expected. Redmond, 37, hit .287/.321/.333 in 137 plate appearances.
Here is a look at the remaining free agent catchers.

This was a no brainer move for the Twins to pick up his option.
