This guy is awful.

If you need more than one TJ surgery, then you're mechanics are prone to elbow injury because the Ulnar Collateral ligament is supposed to be stronger after the 1st TJ. I'm not a doctor, but it did seem like he threw across his body an awful lot. Also, throwing 440 innings in two years couldn't have helped much.

Great low risk, high reward signing. Coming back from two TJ surgeries would be pretty amazing though.

Yeah OmegaMan...a one time all star who struggled with this injury for almost a year is awful. He's a class act and he's smart as all hell...the guy is very determined and will be in the brewers rotation this year!

Agreed that this is a good low risk, high reward signing. Maddux said Capuano was ready before he left for Texas. Good cheap pick up.

T Unit, being an all star ONCE, does not make a guy good. It makes him a fluke. And being smart and/or a class act has nothing to do with being good at playing baseball.

There is no way that Cappy will be in the rotation next year. the brewers are smart enough to keep a guy that had TJ surgery out of the rotation. I love Cappy, i think hes a great player that got put back with a horrible injury, but i dont see him in the rotation. In fact, its a minor league deal. The brewers are gonna add Igawa to their rotation (#5) if they get him in the trade, and add a free agent to their rotation. Maybe Smoltz or Johnson. But they wont put a guy whose coming off of a surgery.

He has a career 4.39 ERA in the majors in 711 2/3 IP and it would be much lower if not for the two injuries that he attempted to pitch through.
He had a career 3.93 ERA in the minors. The only thing awful was your post.

When you have no arguement, make a personal attack. It worked for John McCain.

Omegaman...I don't like Capuano that much, but he was no fluke. I think he has a lot to prove before he fits back in the Brewer rotation. But I don't care what anybody says...18 wins in a season is no fluke. A full season is a pretty good test.
And for the record, John McCain was the only candidate who was actually talking about real solutions in the campaign...not some broad vague argument claiming that simply "changing everything" will get something done in Washington.

member when he was a reliable pitcher (all-star also if I member right)

Omar...'s right - Capuano was an all-star in '06 and Omegaman you're an idiot. Players can bounce back from multiple TJ surgeries but it's rare. And he'll almost certainly have to come out of the bullpen.
Hong Chih-Kuo has had 2 TJ surgeries and was filthy out of the pen for us this year.

Capuano was an all-star in '06 and Omegaman you're an idiot. Players can bounce back from multiple TJ surgeries but it's rare. ... So saying he was good but unlikely to be good again because of surgeries makes me an idiot? Isn't that basically what I said, although with a much meaner spirit. Cap had one really good seasons, some decent season, and was garbage last year and the end of the previous. Coming back from TJ is very rare. Sounds to me like the clock has run out on him.

" Cap had one really good seasons, some decent season, and was garbage last year and the end of the previous. "
-Omegalady...Cappy didn't pitch a single inning last year. He was shut down in Spring Training...

Omega...Cappy's career was on the rise until he got injured and kept trying to pitch through the injury...I wish he would have gotten it taken care of earlier but he tried his best to pitch through it and may have hurt himself...I didn't say he was going to start the season in the rotation...but the Brewers need starting pitching and as of right now...with a month or two in the minors...he will be ready for big league action...and Ender did have a point and a great post...I wouldn't call that a personal attack...I'd say it was you avoiding the point made and had no response...
