I'd rather have Beimel than Arthur Rhodes, Darren Oliver or Will Ohman.

I think that the Tigers should keep Willis and try to trade Robertson if need be. Robertson has always been below average, while Willis used to have Cy Yound caliber stuff. He is also still fairly young. Let's say that the Tigers acquire Jack Wilson or some other defensive wizz shortstop. Willis may have a decent year if he can keep the walks down. The infield could look like this: 3B Brandon Inge, SS Jack Wilson, 2B Placido Polanco, 1B Miguel Cabrera. That is a pretty good defensive infield.

"Luis Castillo for Dontel Willis anyone?"
I would take that trade if Willis can get back to form. But, Tigers would have to eat some of Willis' contract.

Whoops the Tigers already have a gold glove 2nd baseman named Placido Polanco. Nice try guys.

"Luis Castillo for Dontel Willis anyone?"
Why would the Tigers ever do that deal?
I mean I get that Willis' contract is not good, but Luis Castillo has no fit on Detroit at all. The Tigers already have an older everyday second baseman in Placido Polanco, and Ramon Santiago will likely back up second base anyways.

Castillo is crap. If we want a bad backup that could regain form, it won't be in a position of strength.

clement would be a great sign by the pirates

Willis is going to stay. Plus, this was probably his rock bottom. I'll take Dontrelle Willis off your hands. What do Tigers want? Cedeno? Cause people are saying Lugo for Willis why not Cedeno for Willis? Same Non sense

People said Lugo because it was the concept of trading bad contract to address a teams weakness. Even though the it wasnt a real weakness for the sox, they could have used him in short relief until he regained his accuracy.

How would a trade with Grienke and Guillen be for Francoeur, JoJo/Morton, and Locke/Medlin be for each team? What is the difference in the amount of money Guillen and Francoeur are making per year? $6-7 million a year? I'll pay the extra to get the bad contract and a possible young ace. I'm tired of seeing Francoeur do nothing good but still being a big fan favorite. Moore knows the Brave prospects well enough that he could get who he wants without getting an "untouchable" prospect. Braves add salary but improve 2 positions and Royals get rid of their terrible contract.

You need to follow your namesake bro. That deal would get laughed at.
Read the link. It says Moore is demanding 3 MLB players and 2 GOOD prospects. That's obviously ridiculous, but why should he settle for anything? Bottom line...Zack isn't getting traded unless a team just bowls him over.

Bro, I haven't seen anything that said "Moore is demanding 3 MLB players and 2 GOOD prospects". I read he would have to get something "massive" and I think getting a young starting RFer, a young ML starting pitcher, a couple of young prospects, and getting rid of a 2 year, $24 million contract was pretty massive.

I really don't understand DM's unwavering pledge of loyalty to Teahen. I have to believe it's posturing...you know - saying how much he means to the team so you may be able to get something in return.
Teahen is a fine back-up but I'm pretty much sick of the Royals fielding a whole team of second-teamers.

Per Jayson Stark quoting an unnamed exec from another team.

No team would be silly enough to meet those demands, so Greinke stays.
