Construction work is actually a really nice way to keep in shape, which obviously is good if you're a pitcher. And spend time with the dad.

As a Bucco fan I appreciate Jack for the stand up guy he is. That said, I wanted to see him go this offseason, but that's not looking too good. Either way, he's obviously right, we need more talent to compete. I do believe in the new regime, but we haven't had a winning team since I was 7 or 8. And the Bay thing is still tough to swallow. We'll see.

if jack wilson dies do we still have to pay him?

kyle dAvies come back to ATL.

AFTER you get the interstate traffic running smoothly rtr

I agree with all of kens picks. Boras will collapes and beg the Sox for that offer and Tex will be in Red Sox. I hope manny goes to the Yankees. It would be fun for the sox yanks rivalry to change in this way. Lowes price will go down and the sox will pick him up.

poor dan johnson lol

Good on Kyle Davies to maintain his roots despite his handsome income. He gets to stay close to his father and exercise. Also, good on Dayton Moore for accepting and encouraging it, as opposed to freaking out that Davies might get a paper cut.

Rosenthal is a moron if he thinks neither Manny or Tex will land in any of the LA teams.

The Dodgers still have $50+ million to work with to sign Manny. Whereas the Yankees don't. The Dodgers NEED a big slugger. The Yankees don't. Manny would be the face of the club on the Dodgers. He wouldn't in New York. I think you see where I am going with this.

And why is Rosenthal still claiming Boston will get Teixeira when it is clearly apparent that they have been outbid, and many reports are linked to the Angels having the highest bid for Tex?

I rarely trust Rosenthal with his predictions.

Check, with Furcal's signing the Dodgers have around $40-45 million to work with.

I owned Ibanez in an Ultra league and was pleased with his stats. But I noticed a huge difference in his looks. He bulked up quite a bit. I'm surprised I never heard anyone else mention this (possible steriods) and now I am hearing rumblings of poorer defense. I'd be more worried (everyone but Tampa has a bad left fielder?) about a 3-4-5 that's all left handed in Philly. That just seems silly to me.
I believe Burrell's bounce back year was because he actually stayed on the field and batted between two MVP type lefties and made the most of it.
