« Cliff Floyd Hopes To Return To Rays | Main | Odds and Ends: Crede, Swisher, Astros »
Time for a Will Ohman update from David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
The Braves haven’t backed off Ohman, still right there, one of six to eight teams interested. And he reiterated this is where he wants to be, if offers are equal, etc. He really liked everything about the place, team, fans.
The following teams have been linked to Ohman in reports: the Mets, Indians, Orioles, Rockies, Cardinals, Rays, and Braves. We can probably cross the Cardinals and Rockies off the list. MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan informed us today that the Rangers are "among the teams talking seriously" with Ohman.

Probably cross the Tribe off too, Shapiro said he didn't really have any money left in the budget and any other acquisition would have to be very creative BEFORE the Pavano signing. Can't imagine there's much more left.

How about the Tigers. They really need bullpen help. I like Joe Beimel and Chad Cordero

I liked Ohman with the Cubs. He would be good for the Tigers for sure...Braves too though

Pay him the $8M for two years and get it done. Don't offer him slightly less than he is worth with some sort of vesting option... the bullpen looks strong with Ohman, and not as strong with Boone Logan as the lefty set up guy.

At some point the Tigers need to get in on some of the better relievers on the market. Ohman isn't great but he's a descent lefty, gotta be worth a look for a team with a bad bullpen. He's likely going to go where the money is, I recall him going to arb and asking for a lot when he was with the Cubs. Had he been able to pitch better at Wrigley he might have gotten it too.

Cardinals needed this guy...instead they sign a guy with shoulder problems and a few retreads to compete for the bullpen spots....dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb!
