According to John Lowe of the Detroit Free Press, the Tigers designated reliever Juan Rincon for assignment to make room for Dontrelle Willis. Rincon, 30, posted a 5.23 ERA in 10.3 innings for the Tigers this year. The Tigers had signed Rincon to a minor league deal back on January 20th.
Willis made four minor league starts at various levels, posting a 3.86 ERA and 3.16 BB/9. Under the contract extension signed in December of '07, Willis will earn $10MM this year and $12MM in '10.

is that the same juan rincon that was a pretty dominant reliever for minny? and looking at dontrelles numbers from 2006 is pretty insane... 1.13 whip from a starter is outstanding

Did Dontrelle change his delivery to improve control or is it still all funky looking?

from what i read, he is no longer going to be try being perceptive (trying to hide the ball longer than he should) and in a recent interview he said that his delivery is more smooth. His control still isnt there but no one could except him to him it this early in the season

Wouldn't 10.3 innings just be 11 innings?

I thinks this is the end of the D-train Or he could go back to the NL because he dosent have the stuff to dominate in the AL
