The Braves scouting the second or third best SS prospect raises some questions. I'm not saying it means Yunel will be gone in a week ,but it makes it appear that possibly he isn't in their long term plans.

"The Mets wouldn't be interested because he doesn't want a bunch of money, they only flush the money on old players,AARP players,by the way there losing again(the Mets),the Nationals are gaining on them,138 million dollar payroll, bunch of ignorant fools,I am glad I dont live in New York

Shut up. No one said anything about the Mets.

Not really...the Braves don't appear to have any legitimate prospects at the position in the minors and even if they do sign Valor its extremely unlikely he'd even be ready to make his debut before Escobar hits free agency anyway. Its more about addressing an organizational weakness than it is about finding someone to replace Yunel.

Don't feed the troll guys. He'll be banned soon enough.

Amazing how teams can throw all this money at players who aren't likely to make any sort of impact in professional baseball.

not to worry bravoboy.....these are 16 year old prospects. They are 6-10 years away from having a chance at making a dent in the big leagues. Yunel's career should be entering the twilight years by the time these guys would be ready for the bigs.

Its not amazing at all when you consider that if a team hits on a prospect they get him for ~500k a season for his first 3 seasons. Considering that a win is worth between 4 and 5 million dollars, a team doesn't even have to that great of a success rate to get their money's worth. Seriously, one league average player is worth over 25 million over 3 seasons and you would only have to pay him 1.5 million if its his first 3 seasons. How do people still not get simple things like this?

Is it just me, or does there seem to be far more 500K+ bonuses this year early being announced this year going to latin America? Could it have something to do with Selig trying to cut the bonus amounts to regular draftees and teams giving it to international draftees instead?
I got to get in the 21st century.. Lack of twitter is killing me.LOL
