This is going to make the White Sox sorry.

if nix shows his 30/30 potnetial for the indians like he did for us last season (12 hrs and 10 sb’s in 1/3 of a season at bats) then yes the sox will be very very sorry we decided to go with lilibdirge over nix but if he plays like he did this season and like he did for the rockies then no we wont but either way he was one of my favorite players last season i wish him all the luck

Might be an improvement over Donald/Valbuena. Good little signing.

Nix just can’t be a good player unless he changes his approach. He has to learn that he just CANNOT pull a pitch that is high and outside. He tried to do it every time, and almost every time it resulted in an infield fly in foul territory caught by the third baseman. Also, if your the opposing team, and your pitcher has a fastball of at least 93 mph, you will strike him out 100% OF THE TIME if you throw it on the outside corner with 2 strikes. He’s also shown 0 ability to hit right handed pitching, and has gotten himself into multiple extended slumps.

With the Nix signing, what we are hearing on the radio here in Cleveland is Valbuena is most likely on his way to Columbus AAA team and Nix becomes the new utility guy.
Valbuena lost his startng second base job to Donald, and has looked horrid all season nothing like the Valduena of last year who was a line drive doubles machine with pop.

ANYTHING is an improvement over the stuff the Tribe has been running out on the field this season. Seriously, I’d tout this a GENIUS move.Seems that most of Shapiro’s “lower tier” deals (Scott Elarton, Ronnie Belliard, trading an aging Chuck Finley for Coco Crisp, and aging Broussard/Perez for Cabrerra/Choo) tend to be the ones that pan out more than the “big signings” (Dellucci, Wood).
