Angels Notes: Wilson, Thompson, Pujols, Morales

After dropping three straight, the Angels were especially glad to top the Yankees 7-1 yesterday in the Bronx.  Here's a look at some items on the Halos as they face the Bombers again this evening..

I think signing both was plan B if they couldn’t sign Albert.

That’s because you don’t watch Phillies games post Game 3 of the NLDS… trust me, it’s just as frustrating.

I don’t know if you can really blame the coach for that though… he can’t swing for them.

Mickey is Scioscia’s “running buddy” and will be around as long as he is, but I agree with you. I think it was Mickey who personally ruined the career of Brandon Wood and, sadly, he isn’t done ruining careers yet.

  7. Mickey Hatcher was…

It just looked very different… and there was that guy who used to regularly post short essays about why the Mariners were one of the best teams in the game.

Blame the hitting coach is one of the best excuses in baseball. People tried that around here. In 2010 when the offense was average it was because Big Mac was horrible. In 2011 when the Cardinals had the best offense in the NL, it was despite Big Mac. It is a thankless job.

  12. I don’t think Dipoto is influenced by Sosh nearly as much as Reagins or Stoneman were.  I’m not sure about ruining Wood’s career, but what pisses me off is our RISP numbers the last few years.  Garbage.  I think it’s very feasible to see Hatcher go soon.

  13. In some kind of sick and twisted way I miss BaseballGuru

  14. Don’t remind me.
