Vmart has an incredible PA to K ratio for his age.

Reminds me of Scutaro a few years back also.

It’s incredible because he’s hitting for power relative to the lack of strikeouts.

Yes, it’s odd in this supposedly PED-free era to see a player have a career year at almost 36. It begs the question…

I’d love to know who’s on the Adderall exemption list. There’s no way 10% of MLB players have A.D.D.
I won’t get into this too much, Adderall is a diuretic and diuretics are currently and have been used by many people in the sporting and bodybuilding world for years to pass drug tests.

Isn’t it used by ballplayers as a stimulent? Once they started testing for amphetamines, all of a sudden all these guys suddenly realized they have ADD.

Also getting ADD medicine isn’t hard, you get it when someone diagnoses you as having a learning disability. Just look up the signs of ADD and you could fool your way into getting an exemption to take something to improve your performance.

It’s super fishy, I mean none of the guys on that biogenesis list except Melky Cabrera were suspended for failing a drug test for exceeded amount of testosterone. That means everyone on that list was using something to mask their PED use.

Great article. You may want to check the definition of superfluous and substitute another word in the first sentence of the last paragraph. I enjoyed your analysis. Thanks!

Surprised to see no mention of Melky.
LazerTown
I’d put him at 3. He turned it around much more in his 2nd year in Toronto compared to a reliever.

Edinson Volquez?
Ralph Esposito
As much as I would love to see V-Mart hitting between Abreu and Garcia, I would have a hard time giving him more than three years and $45 million. I would put that money and then some into Tomas and trade for a left handed bat. Pirates could be a team that might be a match.
