Hopefully he is back in the next series or this will be a huge loss for toronto.
ianthomasmalone
Of course he got injured…
Brixton
Its a precaution because of his injury history..
Lance
The Jays knew who and what he was when they traded for Tulo.
Slipknot37
That was a weird collision. Hope he’s alright though
Ray Ray
It was definitely scary looking with a whiplash effect clearly visible. Primarily for the fact that he looked down at Pillar to see if he was okay, then he just kind of collapsed. He’s not a Rockie in uniform anymore, but he will always be a Rockie in spirit. Hope he is okay.
Slipknot37
That’s what worried me when he looked at pillar and just fell back. Happy he was able to walk off the field

LOL “in spirit” – get over it, its a business there’s nothing “spiritual” about it. He’s a Blue Jay and he’ll continue to be injury prone like he’s always been.
Ray Ray
Thanx for your input. I’ll file it away with everything else useless that I have come across in my life.
A'sfaninUK
Cool, 6 full seasons and a bunch of injured ones = 20+ years of work with them to you? Get over it, he barely got 1000 games with them.
Ray Ray
Get over yourself. You don’t have a right to tell me who to root for or who is a good player in my mind. You have a right to your opinion, but that doesn’t make it everyone’s opinion. Have a nice day and I really hope the swelling in your head eventually subsides.

Really terrible acquisition from the get-go, should have gotten Cueto instead.
ianthomasmalone
Right because Cueto’s been killing it…
A'sfaninUK
Cueto in KC has a lower FIP than every TOR SP other than Price. Sit down now.
ianthomasmalone
Who cares what his FIP has been right now? He gets shelled every time he takes the mound.
Adam 17
He’s been killing something… his free agent value. Some had considered him the most desirable free agent pitcher this off season. Now I think he’s significantly reduced the level of interest any AL team would have in him. It could be just bad luck, it could be a hidden injury, but no matter what it is this has to put some questions in the minds of any AL GM considering making a big money offer about if he’s another example of a pitcher who can be successful in the NL but not in the AL

They got price and a big reason why they were able to add tulu is because they got rid of reyes in it.
seamaholic 2
Reyes has been about as good as Tulo since the trade, at least with the bat.
bruinsfan94 2
Don’t think one team would take Reyes over Tulu.
New Law Era
Not sure why this got voted down. Aside from power numbers, Reyes has been just as good at the plate as Tulo.
stormie
It probably got voted down because when you have to say “at least with the bat”, that is a caveat that essentially destroys your own argument.
Adam 17
I didn’t realize Cueto could play shortstop; but even assuming he could that .107 career batting average, zero power, and striking out roughly one out of every three at bats are WAY below what Tulo has done (plus I’m pretty confident that Tulo’s defense at short is well above what Cueto could do). So, no they shouldn’t have gotten Cueto instead of Tulo. You could debate Cueto vs Price (since they both would address the same need), but you’d lose that debate too. Price has done FAR better with the Jays since the trade than Cueto has with the Royals
willi
He has not Played more than 150 games in Seven years and it an’t going to get better has he ages, Blue Jays Better Win this Year because their looking like the Phillies in 2017, Old aging player that break down every year .
Lance
the difference is, the Phillies had a lot of success to warrant the spending on high priced FA’s.
stormie
The Phillies didn’t play in the A.L East. Easy to have a lot of success when you’re in a division with at least 3 teams that are dead weight every year.
