I would accept anything for Crede right now. Thanks for the memories Joe

What would/could the Sox be asking for in return? Also, is it more worth their while to hang on to him till spring training and get a little more for him then?

My guess is a reliever or prospect...though the Brewers don't exactly have relief to spare. The Sox would rather not wait to trade him, nor would I. Best to now before he hits arbitration.

Crede is a bad offensive player, he's good on defense but I'd rather let Braun stay at 3rd then get Crede and that's saying something.

unless ryan braun is coming to the sox, i don't want to be trade partners with the brew crew... theres no one kenny could get that would be worth it, unless he gets a free pint for the fans

Crede is not a bad offensive player. He had a below ave BA for his career but he hit .283 in 06 and battled a serious back injury that he said affected him so much he couldnt sleep. Plus hes got power and he can come up with big hits. Hawk always says "dont tell me what you hit, tell me when you hit it" All these statistical buffs can analyze the numbers all they want but watching the players first hand gives you a more accurate portrayal of the player. Joe Crede gets NO respect around the league outside of the South Side. Crede+Masset for Vargas?

I think kenny will end up dealing crede for the best overall prospect. i dont think he sees crede as a trade to gain something he needs absolutely right now. crede is not in the plans for next year no matter what, so i think he'd be willing to take any deal that is good, not just position specific deals.

With Quentin manning LF and a decision being made about 3B could a blockbuster be comin with Fields going to FLA for Miguel Cabrera and Crede getting traded for prospects?
