Lee too expensive.... and also not worth anything near Delmon Young.

Key line from the article, as Tim mentions (emphasis mine):

"The Indians MAY HAVE tried to substitute Cliff Lee, but the $9.5 million they still owe Lee was probably too much for the low-budget Rays."

I doubt Shapiro tried to switch out Lee for Miller. The difference in raw talent is vast, even if Lee has the pedigree.

Kaz Matsui's career line is strikingly similar to Burke's...only it comes at a 10x the cost. Ed Wade is a moron and the 'Stros are going nowhere but deeper into the cellar in '08.

@AstroHorn

As a Phillies fan, I can tell you that you have no idea how much big of a moron Ed Wade is.

But you'll unfortunately find out soon enough.

Joe Nathan....Giants worst trade EVER!!

Chris Burke to the Padres makes too much sense.

After bringing Astros castaways Ensberg & Lane over, why not Burke?

I'm not saying I like it but it definitely strikes of a Kevin Towers like deal.

Chris Burke is not the answer for the 2B vacancy but if Antonelli needs more seasoning, I'd much rather see Burke at the bottom of the lineup as opposed to Oscar Robles, Craig Stansberry or Luis Rodriguez.

Oscar Robles, how did he ever make it to the majors? Is it the lazy eye?
