« Today's Non-tenders: Towers, Prior, Everett, Durbin | Main | The Mitchell Report Is Coming »
According to Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post, the Rockies signed Kip Wells to a one-year deal worth around $3MM.
Wells could start or relieve for the Rox, depending on how Franklin Morales looks early on. I was talking to a friend from STATS, Inc. who saw a lot of parallels between the Kipper and Joel Pineiro a year ago.

Wait, what? Kippers 2008=Pineiro 2007?
Except, Joel has a competitive nature and Kip Wells has wet toilet paper for a heart. Rockies fan should get used to seeing Kip pull down the brim of his cap and stare up into it as the batter rounds 3rd base.

Wells hasn't had a whip under 1.5 since 2003. Piniero has only had a whip over 1.5 once in his career. You and you're friend at stats.com should continue the in-depth analysis, but next time realize the answer is occasionaly right in front of your face. Wells Sucks.

God do I feel sorry for the Rockies fans...
and Grizzly did a good enough job destroying that comparison that I won't even bother. But you and your friend are wrong in so many ways Tim. Kipper is a piece of crap and always will be.
