Hey Tim, how do you feel abot being the number 1 free agent out there?!

Shameless, buddy. Shameless.
Perhaps you could add your salary requirements, as well...

Haha...January is the first time in my career without a boss...I am going to enjoy it and do my thing.

Hey Tim... I have recently found your site in past 3 weeks I am a diehard baseball fan and notice you mention that you have spoken on 720 AM with Dave Kaplan and also went to college here... so im guessing you are from Chicago also... my question is are you a Cubs fan? White Sox fan? Or a fan of another team?
Posted by: bigcuban | December 19, 2007 at 01:58 PM
Cubs fan. Grew up in Alsip, moved to Homer Glen, went to college at Champaign, moved to Lombard, then moved to Roselle. It's funny because Alsip is kind of south side-ish.

Nice little interview. Keep up the good work Tim. We'd be lost without you.

Oh cool so am I... I live on the NW Side like 4 miles from Wrigley.. by any chance what do you think of what is going on with the Cubs this year... I already know you dont think we should have gone for a closer but when we had a chance you didnt want Valverde or Cordero? I think we need RP'ing and SPing more than a 2B yet here we are rarely hearing RP and SP rumors other than small talks about Bedard and Nathan... which I wouldnt want to get rid of Marmol for.

Hehe...blogging sans showering...
Posted by: Dave | December 19, 2007 at 02:28 PM
I have promised myself to be showered and dressed by 10 each day and to leave the house at least once. This is going to be a lot different than the office.
Posted by: Tim Dierkes | December 19, 2007 at 03:21 PM
Get a dog and that will force you to get out everyday. At least thats what works for me. I don't usually shower until 3 or 4.

If you work out of the house in a non-customer service/face-to-face role, you promise yourself all these motivation goals. Then, 3 months later, you realize you haven't showered in 3 days, you're still wearing the same pajamas/pants since whenever and real sunlight hurts your eyes.

My wife wouldn't allow that...
Posted by: Tim Dierkes | December 19, 2007 at 04:22 PM
...just wait.
sportstech...sounds like Tim doesn't need the dog. Sounds like he IS the dog...

Congratulations Tim. It feels like I've been visiting this site since its inception and you have never disappointed. Is the site becoming your full time job in 12 days?
Also, what advice would you have for someone who is starting their own baseball blog? One thing I am concerned with in my blogging is sourcing too many other blogs, which may or may not come as legitimate sources. Hopefully you get around to checking out my blog and maybe one day sourcing it yourself.

@Dave
Don't know if I can say much. I am married with a pregnant wife...

Then you'll be even less familiar with daylight when Jr arrives.
