Kyle Lohse was supposed to get 4/40 right? yeah right. he's more of a fifth starter, but still if he's healthy he should be snatched up pretty soon. maybe the jays will get him cheap as a 5th starter.

oh wow thats another thing to consider about bonds...if a team signs him not in the top 15 picks, do they lose their first rounder?
okay all of a sudden im not in favour of signing him for the jays...

Patterson's getting absolutely SHUNNED for some reason. Decent to above decent bat, great speed, great defense in a key position like CF, under 30, inexpensive. Why haven't the Braves or the A's or ANYONE picked this guy up?!

I guess teams have learned their lesson with Jeff Weaver.
As for Patterson I thought he would of been a good option in Boston as the 4th outfielder if crisp got delt.

Also btw Poor Kenny Lofton, the guy does nothing but produce every year and no one will hang onto him.

Patterson is being shut out because I imagine Boras is trying to get him the amount of money his old potential would have gotten him rather than the money that his actual performance at the big league level suggests he should get.

I think the Livan Hernandez signing sort of sets the market for Lohse..no way he gets more than about 6 million now.
I think the Jays should offer him 4 mil and maybe haggle a bit. That would give them the best pitching staff in baseball, no questions asked. Both bullpen and rotation.

Was Bonds offered arb? I did not think he was thereby not costing a pick.

Okay everybody STOP with corey patterson NOW!
last years line .269/.304/.386 rf 2.46
career .258/.298/.414 rf 2.37
he ops .690 last year!!!!
THIS IS NOT A GOOD OUTFIELDER! He is below average in every aspect but sb. He would be lucky to get a ne year deal I wouldn't be surprised if he has to settle for a minor league deal. OKay, we done with this? It's over. Potential only takes you so far patterson is yet o have 1 exceptional year. Not 1!

themetros, Bonds was *not* offered arbitration, so, yeah, I don't think the team signing him loses their draft pick.
