Perez should be dropped from the rotation. He deserves the hit for winning his arbitration.

Im nuts, but so is walt.
I want Giles, Wolf, and Greene....Bailey, Fraizer, Dunn and another prospect?
Left Handed starter, Leaderoff hitter, and a real short stop.
Keppinger comes back, so we can throw EE into the River.

Willie hasn't lost confidence in Perez? Thats ironic, because Willie bashes Perez in the media under the best of times. And also because I am sure the team has lost confidence in Willie. Uhhh, sigh.

Perez is so inconsistent I wouldn't see why anyone would want him for the money that has been thrown around.

Yahoo's reporting that Bondo's out for the season.

Westbrook is out too....Tommy John.

Westbrook going down proves there is no such thing as pitching surplus. Now it almost seems paramount to resign Sabathia or at the least Byrd, since Westbrook could be out until August of next year.

Injuries happen, thats for sure. Hell SD has lost 3/5ths its starting rotation. And still we are going to trade one of the two healthy members of it away, or maybe both. Pitching is going to be in short supply, and it makes me happy, the cost is going up.
Anyways, losing Westbrook is going to be a blow to the Indians, so maybe it is time to see what Miller can do in the majors.
As for Gmblng your idea for a trade with SD, if you want those three...give up more, and remove Dunn. If we trade Greene, we need a mlb-ready SS to replace him. Second, we would want cheaper younger players to start rebuilding.

AirmanSD, I assume you're referring to Adam Miller. He's out until August (or basically the rest of the minor-league season) after having surgery on the middle finger of his pitching hand. For all his promise, he's brittle.
The next best prospect, Chuck Lofgren (5.54 ERA, 1.71 WHIP), is struggling at AA. It could open the door for ex-UCLA lefty David Huff (5-1, 1.92 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, 62 Ks in 65 2/3 IP), who's tearing it up at Akron.

Actually, it doesn't open the door for any prospects, it just means that Laffey can stick with the club once Carmona comes back from the DL. Until then Sowers steps in.
