« Braves Sign Julian Tavarez | Main | Giants Rumors: Durham, Aurilia, Vizquel »
According to Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune, the Cubs signed their first round pick Andrew Cashner today for $1.53MM. Cashner was the first reliever off the board at #19.
Additionally, the A's inked first rounder Jemile Weeks, a college second baseman. He gets a $1.91MM bonus.
This site has done a nice job compiling a list of which draft picks have signed and for how much. By my count, 13 of the 30 first rounders have signed.

I noticed that two of the Red Sox' first three picks, Casey Kelly and Derrik Gibson, opted for college instead of signing, and they're not the only ones. Isn't there some rule in the process that says a team gets some sort of compensatory pick next year if that happens?

yea, they get an equal compensation next year...
but those are just what school they will attend if they are not signed my the MLB team... so none of them will be listed till Aug. 15th

Also, the Braves have signed their first two picks, Brett DeVall and Tyler Stovall, 40 and 64th respectively. No information on the signing bonus though.

According to BA, Cashner is the most ML ready from the draft and BA said he could even get a September call up if needed in a pinch.
