Every site says he's going to the sign an extension. Of course they also said Brian Roberts was traded to the Cubs.

With money coming off the books, and little room to legitimately improve elsewhere, the Red Sox have to be in on a pitcher. Not sure if it'd be for the front or back end of the rotation...

Burnett will sign with the jays....4 year 60 million deal....with a bonus if the jays made it to the play offs....i think thats good enough.....i mean, this is the only decent year that Burnett has earned his paycheck.....he's gotta take this deal....

overall, this is burnett's worst year statistically. since cito took over though, he has been lights out, so if you take out april, may, and june it is his best year. IMO, no way Burnett stays in TO for less than 70 mil.

Burnett wont stay in Toronto he doesnt liek Toronto. He'll go to the Braves

Yeah because he signed with Toronto because he thought they would be a playoff team. And not because he went after the money.

Burnett is a heck of a pitcher when he's motivated. Oddly enough he only seems to be motivated during contract years. Whoever signs him had better be ready for some disappointment.
