Quick note from Richard Griffin of the Toronto Star - the Blue Jays have talked to Matt Clement's agent (hat tip Drunk Jays Fans). The Pirates and Indians could be other matches for the rehabbing starter.

So, since they won't have A.J. Burnett taking up space on the D.L., they want Clement as a proper replacement?
Makes sense, I guess.

Makes sense if you want an Aj Burnett replacement who isn't as good but comes with even more concern.

Well, with Jansen, Marcum, and Mcgowan on the DL for the beginnings of the season, maybe JP thinks he needs some vetern leadership for his DL guys.

Of the 'bargains' JP's put in the starting rotation, Ohka Carter, Hentgen, + others, which one has actually panned out?? No wonder nobody wants to buy ticket packs in advance, if there's a chance of these guys being on the mound. I'd rather wait till game day and pay the extra 5 bucks to see Halladay pitch.
