According to the AP, the Blue Jays offered arbitration to A.J. Burnett and declined to offer it to Gregg Zaun. No big surprise here. Burnett's a Type A free agent, so he'll cost a draft pick to sign.

Am I the only one that finds it odd that a player can opt out yet still be offered arbitration?
