Russ Adams has cleared waivers and chosen to become a free agent, according to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian. The Blue Jays designated him for assignment last week when they activated David Dellucci.

It's actually Rzepczynski. Either way, $10 says Jayson Stark mentions something about his name having the most consecutive consonants in major league history within the week...

he might be a good fit for the Cards, if he can play 3rd. He should be an upgrade over Thurston, and they need another bat just in case. Not sure about K. Greene, T. Greene is slowing down, not sure if Wallace ot Hoffpair are ready, how will Derosa's wrist pan out. That's alot of uncertainty.

Russ Adams couldn't field if his life depended on it but I think he has a good bat that could hit for a decent average. We wasted a draft pick on him -_- Will be interesting to see which team he ends up with.
