The Blue Jays have designated Russ Adams for assignment to make room for David Dellucci, according to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian. Adams, 28, has been a major disappointment in Toronto since the Blue Jays took him in the first round of the 2002 draft. The converted infielder picked up four hits in 20 at bats, hitting almost exclusively against righties.

How anything can be an improvement with the Name Dellucci involved blows my mind.
I'm totally shocked that another major league team even gave him another shot as badly as he sucked it up in Cleveland the last couple of years.
The Blue Jays must be thinking that once he has a pocket full of those coins with the hole in the middle Dellucci will gain some special magical super powers or something .

Easy improvement.
Dellucci was hitting .317 with 3 homers in Vegas since Toronto grabbed him. Adams was hitting .248 for the Jays.
Does this Dellucci is going to be a plus player? No. But he shoudl be better than Adams.
