Brewers Release Mike Burns

The Brewers released righty Mike Burns, tweets Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.  Burns, 31, posted a 5.75 ERA, 6.8 K/9, and 3.0 BB/9 in 51.6 innings last year, allowing ten home runs.  The journeyman had a shoulder problem at season's end, says Haudricourt.

The Brewers really need to figure the rest of their pitching out. Narveson and Estrada are still waiting for a role and Opening Day is almost here!!!!!!!!

Narveson will be in the bullpen to start the year. They don’t need a fifth starter. Not sure which Estrada you’re referring to, but he won’t be in the majors.
