Nicasio has indeed been impressive. Uncle Ray could possibly be the best thing that has happened to this organization in a few decades, the guy is simply a wizard when it comes time to working with pitchers. I have been SHOCKED that he has not been offered or at least interviewed for multiple managerial jobs over the last few off seasons. Although there is no guarantee that he would make a successful skipper, you would think that teams would be compelled or at least interested in handing the reigns of there team over to Searage given his ability to work wonders with a large percentage of his reclamation projects. Pitching is by far the most values commodity in MLB, and if the guy were to bring in the right staff to support him, he is the type of difference maker that could take a poor or below average organization and make them competitive in a single years time. I would dread the day that he left the Pirates organization, but if I were a GM that has fielded a bad team for a few consecutive years (ESPECIALLY if the lack of success was due in large part to being near the bottom of the league in the pitching categories) then Ray Searage would be the absolute FIRST phone call that I would make to setup an interview for somebody to take over and lead my ball club.

I hope the new fences can lower the amount of runs scored at coors field. Maybe players are a little more convinced to sign with the Rockies.

I hope the Rockies can attract pitchers with the fences raised now.

Considering how inflated the closer market has been and the high likelihood that this will be a lost year for the Brewers I wonder if they will trade Will Smith at the TD? Chances are there will be quite a few teams in contention that will need BP help so there should be a healthymarket. Barring injury my team should be good on relievers but pitching is so volatile these days you never know.
On the Nicasio post, no shock there. Ray Searage is a beast. That man has the golden touch with pitchers!

Your best post ever. Well done. Though I still have to criticize you for saying “my team should be good on relievers” since again you’re bringing up the Red Sox for something that has nothing to do with them, but I still give you an A for at least talking about other teams besides the Red Sox (or Yankees)

This is perfect. There is no better way to explain it.
