Finished the survey. You should add a suggestions textbox in there this time or next time. Just a suggestion. 😉

I thought the same thing! I would have suggsted that mlbtr revamps the comments section. The community here is one of their best assets. It needs to be easier to streamline comments. The current system is clunky and outdated.

Thoroughly agree. I filled out the form specifically to mention updating the comments section, and was disappointed there was no place to input any suggestions.

It’s nice to voice my opinion

In the “How often do you visit _____ “, I’m surprised there was no A Few Times Per DAY
petersdylan36
I was hoping for that too. A few times per week is an understatement.
For me, it’s definitely 10 times a day, at least.
Gogerty
Is it truly a fe times a day of you just keep the tab open and refresh?
bucknerforhall
i agree -5 times a day -mobile App – at least
Aaron Sapoznik
Yes! I even offered a suggestion while taking the survey, to add the category of “Many times a day”.

Ditto,I follow MLB trade rumors, and Profootball rumors on Twitter.I’m here every few hours. I also like to follow along in the chats. I love the sites, they’re a little bit like Amazon, addictive because they have everything!
jrwhite21
Agreed! I check an easy 5-10 times per day using the app. Love your work and I’m excited for the incorporation of hockey!
jd396
I know! Some of the posts are just Player X signs with Team Y, so I don’t necessarily even open them and read the details if it’s not a player or team I’m especially interested in… but even scanning those headlines is a major source of news for me.
gobraves46
Yup. This is my 5th time today…

My #1 reason this became my favorite site 10(!) years ago was the community in the comment section. Maybe the page hits and “clicks” are better now, but I think you’ve left behind what first got this off the ground behind.

If there was one thing I would offer to change is on the app the comment threads can sometimes be confusing. It can be hard to tell who replies to what comment if anything can done to change that I would have no complaints. That’s really just nitpicking tho this is a great site

Agree

Not a fan of the in-depth interviews. Nothing to do with the quality or the topics involved, just not what I’m looking for. You may do better by having these interviews on a separate site and refer to them in posts on MLBTR (like you do for regular posts/stories).
JoeyPankake
Still wish this site would go back to Disqus so you could see if anyone commented on your comments without having to get email notifications or search through all the articles you commented on. The up vote was a good feature too. User interface wise the website was better two years ago or so.
jd396
I didn’t really comment here when they had Disqus but it was kind of garbage on MLB.com. Better than LiveFyre by about sixty miles though.
TonytheKeg
I wish we could sign in and set our profile to ignore commenters.
jd396
For what it’s worth I’m mostly on the MLB side but I have several feeds of interest from PFR and Hoops too, and I’m browsing through them on the mobile app throughout the day. Looking forward to getting hockey into the app apparently somewhere in the fall once the shakedown cruise is over, too!

Where else will I get my Rich Hill trade rumors?
donniebaseball
Said it before and don’t mind saying it again: thanks for all the great work Tim, Jeff, and everyone at MLBTR. What you guys do to make this site what it currently is truly is incredible.
cjh815
Stop deleting people post or commute . Even if you don’t like them your job is not to be editors or critics you job is to post rumors or sports new and if people want leave commits that on them . If you didn’t want people to leave commits then why do you have space for people to do so . It not I ever threaten any one or any thing like that I just put ideas and but trade together is leave commits and there’s nothing wrong in that
BoldyMinnesota
They don’t want garbage comments on their site, because it tarnishes their brand
disadvantage
I think the readability of your comment sort of answers your question as to why they sensor comments.
tesch4988
Thanks for setting up the survey, pretty cool that we can voice our opinion. I couldn’t select how many times I visit the site its WAY more than a few times a week, it’s like 7-10 times a day
jd396
Thanks, MLBTR staff, for moderating the comments rather than letting these comment sections turn into a breeding ground for all varieties of Internet weirdos.
Often enough once you get to the end of an article elsewhere, you read the comments and all you see is cat fights and a cess pit of weird… like the only people posting are those guys at work who you suspect are actually axe murderers or are making a woman-skin suit in their basement.
Moderate away!

I think u guys should make a hockey rumors blog too like u do for football and baseball
bobhutt99
I have never cursed or said anything bad. Yet comments reflecting conservative opinions are constantly removed by liberal minority’s. Now that I see my comments unilaterally removed for no good reason I know what I have to do. DELETE YOUR APP!
