- The Padres entertaining trade offers on Dylan Cease and Robert Suarez while also trying to win (1:25)

The Brewers already made their impactful trades in Priester and Vaughn and just upgraded the bench with Jensen. They will have to greatly overpay for a SS bat that isnt even available to take over for Ortiz, so I suspect his stellar glove sticks in the lineup. I think they go and get a utility that is an improvement over Bauers or Mono.
The reds need a spark so bad
Never hold your breath for an exciting deadline from the Reds
I know, I’ll just never understand prospect hoarding I guess
Nothing about the Red Sox? Since when does a minor acquisition they made not warrant 20 minutes of podcast discussion? ;O)
Pirates are going to be left on the dance floor with no one to dance with. Not saying to dump bender or Keller just to dump them but if they don’t move Heaney and IKF then BC should be dumped after the deadline. Really he should be dumped after the deadline regardless
Contrary to the narrative, and with the exception of the Soto trade, the Padres’ AJ Preller is usually somewhat subdued at the TD. The majority of his most splashy deals and signings have happened during the offseason. And I can’t think of any recent year when AJ dealt a rotation starter at the TD, even though the podcast made it sound like that’s just what AJ does. Darragh and Anthony seemed to think it a little crazy that the Padres would deal Cease, and I too don’t see a lot of logic in doing so – at least not if they want to contend for and in the playoffs this year..
“What are the Cardinals doing?”
…I’ve been asking that since we signed Fowler.
…I’ve been screaming that since we fired Shildt.
Most Cardinals fans have been asking that same question for a few years now. That is why our seats are now empty. But it’s been revealing to have so many experts scratching their heads over it and calling us spoiled.
Cardinals fans know it was Jocketty, LaRussa, Flores, and Lunhow who brought winning baseball to St. Louis, NOT Bill DeWitt or John Mozeliak. DeWitt gets a lot of credit, and he opened his wallet at times and is deserving of some credit. But he also threatened to move the team to East St. Louis, has always been a bit of a cheapskate billionaire, and constantly complains about the market size when 3million showed up every season and paid for $10 beers and $100 cable packages. Cry me a river, Bill. Your investment has paid off many times over.
“Like, like, like, like, like, like.”
So many “likes” my ears were about to bleed.
