  • The Cardinals and 1B/OF Allen Craig agreed to a five-year extension with a team option for 2018. The contract will guarantee Craig $31MM.
  • The Rangers signed pitcher Derek Lowe to a minor-league deal. He will be paid $1.25MM plus incentives if he makes the big-league team.
  • The Cubs have told closer Carlos Marmol's agency to expect its client to be traded this year, although that trade appears unlikely before the start of the season.
