Twins Trade For Phil Nevin

Given that the Twins rank second from the bottom of the AL in home runs, they acquired a DH type with some pop: Phil Nevin.

Nevin's had his ups and downs this year between the Rangers and Cubs, but he is slugging .456 in 355 ABs.  Twins' DHs have been a void this season so Nevin can only help.  Minnesota currently trails the White Sox by a half game for the AL wild card.

Nevin's $10MM salary ranks second on his new club, though the Cubs are footing some of the bill in hopes of receiving a decent prospect.

Cubs suck :) Good move for the Twins, Nevin is a fat power hitter who will fit in nicely with Minnesnowta!

Yes it is a good move for the twins..... But your cubs commment sucked.

You suck big balls pretty boy.

The Phil Nevin trade was a nice idea for the Cubs while Derrek Lee was down and out. He was a nice right handed bat that showed more pop than i thought that he had. I think that it was smart to unload Hairston Jr. for him because he didn't really have a spot. Honestly, how many middle infielders that have a .240 batting average can you have on one team. Well, i guess you can have alot. They are called the Chicago Cubs. I am a huge cub fan, but i am just sick and tired of run down players that don't produce!

wmk51 you probably know nothing about baseball and stop ripping on the cubs. You are a loser
