"Graziano says the Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs, and White Sox are among the teams scouting him."
I know they are added to every rumor, cause they have money, and now 2 Japanese stars. But for what logical reason would the Red Sox have any interest in Fukudome?
Manny, Crisp, J.D. Drew, Ellsbury, Moss, Wily Mo Pena, hell even Eric Hinske. He can't play 3b, and he isn't a relief pitcher.

The Reds are going to make a spot for Jay Bruce next season one way or another. Dunn is one way, Griffey is another. The risk is delaying the development of one of baseball's top prospects. For all of the talk about how bad a move it would be for the Reds not to pick up Dunn's option, its only one year and I don't think there's much hope of him sticking around after 2008 anyway. The most ignorant fans in baseball, lead by Marty Brennaman, have seen to it that he doesn't feel welcome in Cincinnati.

Actually Dukudome was a third basemen for awhile. He's much better in OF though.

His arm is a notch below Ichiro's, but he's smart (good angles and whatnot)

The BoSox could always finally trade Manny and his contract to the (pick your team) LA squad. Also, CoCo Crisp will no longer be manning Cf after this season due to his stellar defense - which greatly increased his trade potential imo. Wily Mo Pena will be traded as well in the off season or earlier. That would leave D.L. Drew, and Jacoby slated into RF and CF respectively - allowing Fukudome to slide into LF.
Depending on, of course, how much Theo and Co. favor the japanese import.

To me, it would be the height of stupidity to trade away Manny, for the sole purpose of replacing him with this FuK U guy. He might be good, he might not be good, bu here is what we know, Manny is by far the best right handed hitter/run producer of the last 10 years, playing on possibly the best team in baseball. If it aint broke, dont fix it. I just dont think it is a good gamble to trade away a superstar like Manny with the idea of replacing him with a pretty much unknown quantity.

Blue... There is a reason that Brennaman is in the Hall of Fame. He knows a hell of a lot more about baseball than you could even hope to know.

The Reds need to pick up Dunn's option then trade. That's exactly what the Yanks did with Gary Sheffield. And the Reds would probably get better prospects than the Yanks did. Dunn's only 28. Dont tell me that you think that someone who is that young with that much power cant bring something good back.
