« Cardinals Rumors: Ankiel, Molina | Main | Pirates Interested In Brad Thompson? »
Ever wonder how certain MLBTR readers are able to leave a comment two seconds after I publish a new post? In most cases, it's not because they sit on the site constantly refreshing it. Instead, they use a feed reader.
For example, the free Google Reader "constantly checks your favorite news sites and blogs for new content." So first you download the Reader, then you hit Add Subscription and paste in this URL:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/MlbTradeRumors
It's really quite easy, and it's the best way to stay on top of new content at your favorite sites and blogs (including MLBTR!) If you're new to feeds, take three minutes and give it a shot. This is also a good option for those who hate the white on black color scheme (though I may look into the idea of a button that switches it to black on white if you want).

You can also use Google Reader online, so you don't have to download anything, or use it when away from your computer.

If you use the built-in feedreader in IE7, go to this link: http://feeds.feedburner.com/MlbTradeRumors?format=xml, click on "Subscribe to Feed", and you're done.

I use Google's online reader as my home page. FYI, the white on black isn't that bad in my mind, it's all I've known from MLBTR and I've kind of linked the colors in my mind to the site (ie: if you took the banner off, I would still know the site).

At last survey 67% of readers said not to change the color scheme...I will have to ask that question again and see if that's changed at all. I'm curious.

Please don't ever change the color scheme. It is much easier on the eyes and such an important, familiar feature of this wonderful site. I think most people who want it changed must be ardent conformists, and no one should cater to that sort of crowd.

Don't change the color scheme. It saves energy, a la Blackle (the energy saving search engine from google).

Yeah...I am not likely to change it.
