Tigers Sign Granderson To Five-Year Deal

12:25pm: Buster Olney has the details: it's a five-year, $30.25MM deal with a club option for 2013.

12:17pm: According to Danny Knobler, the Tigers have signed center fielder Curtis Granderson to a five or six year deal.  He says the deal will buy out all of his arbitration years plus a year or two of free agency.  Granderson would've been eligible for free agency after the 2011 season.

Granderson, 27 in March, hit .302/.361/.552 for the Tigers in '07.  The Fielding Bible's panel of experts ranked his defense fifth among center fielders. Plus, he's one of the good guys in baseball.
