« Reds Fire Wayne Krivsky | Main | No Offers For Bonds »
The Pirates aren't ready to release beleaguered starter Matt Morris. However, the team's president wouldn't rule it out for the future.
Pirates fans are growing increasingly frustrated with Morris, but the team continues to wait it out. Given the upside of a 5.00 ERA, what's the point? He wasn't Neal Huntington's acquisition; he should be able to deal with it rationally. I would be surprised if Morris is still with the Pirates on June 1st.

I want him gone as much as anybody, but it's kind of hard to eat 10 million dollars for absolutely zero return.

At this point he'll get one more start, then be banished to the bullpen and eventually released. If they keep rolling him out there, I'm flying back to the Burgh, kneecapping Morris and then I'll go hunt down Littlefield for ever foisting this crap upon our long-suffering team.
Oh, yeah, and please, Bucs, bench Bautista and LaRoche. They're not helping. Call up Pearce, put him in RF, and move Nady to 1B. Go with Gomez and Mientkiewicz at 3B till Walker is ready. But for the love of God, Bautista and LaRoche are killing the lineup right now.
