The Yankees re-signed right-handed pitcher Humberto Sanchez to a minor league deal, according to this press release on the site for the Scranton Times-Tribune. He was released by the Yankees on April 25th to make room for Mark Melancon. Sanchez, 25, was assigned to AA Trenton and placed on their disabled list.

Cool.....maybe he can add to the plethora of bullies that walk the bases loaded (jeesh).
No seriously, maybe he can rehab and retain a glimmer of the promise he had before the surgery.

This has nothing to do with this post BUT...the Yanks need to be a lot more agreesive with their at bats. Why...WHY....WHY!!! when facing a weak throwing, control oriented pitcher like Sonnastine did they continue to take the 1st pitch for a strike? He can't beat them with the fastball and the first pitch was always a strike right around the middle to outside part of the plate. Guys like him they need to be much more agreesive with. They made him look like freakin' Steve Carlton out there.
