I think the Pirates are shopping the wrong LaRoche.

I already had to stop reading MLB.com because it carries Keith Olbermann's MLBlog. Please don't make me stop reading MLBTR as well. Nobody cares what Keith Olbermann has to say enough to justify the loss of readership that he will cause this site. At best he belongs in Cork's blog rundown, but really he is a hack who is not even worth mentioning on a serious site.

dude no one is insane enough to stop reading an enjoyable blog because it might post a link to Olbermann once a week. Loss of readership= 1

Why don't you go ahead and pull up the MLB.com article announcing Olbermann's MLBlog and hiring at MLBAM, and see for yourself what Loss of readership equals (MLBAM announcement: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/comments.jsp?ymd=20090421&content_id=4368666&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb.
Your comment on this matter is ignorant and arrogant, just like your comment about Glavine was 35 minutes ago.

Oswalt could easily get 300 wins if he got off that crappy team.
And I have no idea why the White Sx aern't on the phone with the Marlins. If the Braves were talking to em, why not the White Sox?

A revolution of one. It will be televised i'm sure.
I had no idea Olbermann had a blog. That's cool. Yeah, sure he might be a little crazy on the left, but everyone's a little crazy anymore.
Nor did i have any idea they made pink cargo shorts like that. People purchasing pink cargo shorts=1.

That Rosenbloom article is terrible. He just harps on how KW should have made the move, but doesn't even mention who the Sox could have offered for McClouth.
The Sox didn't make the trade because they didn't have the stud OF prospect Pittsburgh was looking for in return.
He also says McClouth is as good as Grady Sizemore. I think he would have a hard time finding many people who agree with him on that one.

Olbermann = socialist baseball
People won't be allowed to hit over .300 or less than .299 no matter who u are. Sorry pujols hurray frenchy.

grabow and laroche for jake fox and angel guzman
does this sound ok?

Rosenbloom is an awful writer. He writes little blurbs with the specific purpose of working uninformed people up into a lather. He's like the Rush Limbaugh of Chicago sports. No one with an ounce or more of critical thinking skills takes him seriously.

Sox fan 06, have to agree. Comparing McLouth to Sizemore is a pretty big stretch. At any rate, I'm not sure the Sox had the type of package to land McLouth. The Bucs were said to have been enamored of Hernandez for quite some time. It would have been tough for the Sox to beat that offer.

You guys should probably stop complaining. Tim and the boys are fantastic, with or without Heyman and Olberman reports. There's no better place for news-crazy baseball fans like us.

Olberman is a piece of s_it, If I ever seen you I would show you the worst person in the world, anyhoo, the Braves are the team to beat in the NL East!

Is it me are both of these posts completely incoherent?
Posted by: crunchy1 | June 04, 2009 at 04:23 PM
I think the braves are one move in the OF away from being the team to beat. They could probably accomplish it by benching Frenchy and playing Diaz. If Infante can handle Right, I'd love to see him out there and hitting leadoff when he gets healthy.
Did that pic of Olberman and McLouth disturb anyone but me??
Posted by: bravo84 | June 04, 2009 at 04:25 PM
Do you think Infante can put up numbers worth of a RF? Or play defense at a high level? Infante's value to me is as a reserve who can fill in at multiple positions. Stick him everyday in RF where he'll put up 2b numbers and he loses value. The Braves need a whole new OF. McLouth is a step in the right direction.
Posted by: crunchy1 | June 04, 2009 at 04:36 PM
Don't think offensively he is worthy of and OF corner, but if he can move KJ back in the order it could be pretty solid. His defense is what concerns me. I think with the average he put up early on this year he deserves more playing time. And the fact that he would be starting wouldn't diminish his versatility, if anything DeRosa has proven it increases it. If anyone goes down he moves to that spot and Diaz takes over in Right.
Agreed I'd rather have the real DeRosa, or another RH bat out there, but I think expecting FW to make another move is probably just wishful thinking on our parts.
Still a linup of:
RF Infante
SS Escobar
CF McLouth
3B Jones
C McCann
2B Johnson
LF Diaz/Anderson
1B Kotchman
is pretty stinking solid. Not having to hit Escobar or Johnson in the leadoff spot is my main motivation for wanting to see Infante out there. McLouth could hit leadoff, but if we don't get another bat, then we would still have no legit pop in the middle of the lineup.
Posted by: bravo84 | June 04, 2009 at 04:51 PM
It's a pretty good lineup and I totally agree that the Braves need one more bat. I'd like to see the Braves get McLouth in that leadoff s0pt. There are some available bats out there: Cantu, Dunn, A.Gonzalez. I don't know what the Braves have left available to deal though. McLouth at the top with his speed, patience and occasional pop would make the Braves pretty darn tough.

Come on JP, give the pirates a call on LaRoche!! I know its a long shot but itd be an idea. I dont think theyd ask for more than one A grade pitching prospect from the Jays.
