Why would anyone trade a good young player for a annoying manager who isnt even that good?

Because Loria has his favorites and performance may not even factor into that. In his eyes some guys (Hanley, Ozzie) can do no wrong, and others (Edwin, Lo Mo) can do no right. The guy isn’t even the GM, but he pulls are the strings, great organization.

dont forget how he was 100% ok with trading away one of the best power hitting second basemen in recent years for a utility man and some bullen guys

besides this season, which is the combination of poor managing, bad hitting, bad defense, mediocre pitching, and some bad contracts by the GM. Where is the evidence that Ozzie is a bad manager?

I’ll buy Ozzie’s plane ticket to Miami to get him out of here

Infante is a good player, a few teams will go after him

He’s more of a backup infielder though. Not saying he’s not valuable

So.. the Fish demoted LoMo for Tweeting too much, yet they want Ozzie, the manager known for both Tweeting and blurting out at press conferences every inane thought that comes into his head?

  5. didnt Tampa traded for Piniella? he was in SEA I think…¬†
