Waiver Trade Explanations

Trades can be made in August; it's just that the rules are more complicated and limiting.  Here are some helpful links.

I would have to think that the Dodgers will work hard to move Juan Pierre. With the emergence of Matt Kemp has a leadoff hitter, the acquisition of Manny Ramirez and the possible return of Rafael Furcal, Juan Pierre's time in Los Angeles should be at its end.
