Baldelli could really help my nats.
Hopefully we get texiera.

As long as the price was right something like a couple of million with more in incentives I wouldn't have a problem with Baldelli. He's not a leadoff hitter or cleanup batter though, and really not a CF any more either, he would also likely require another OF to split time with him. Rather not have two of the OF slots as question marks if it could be helped.

As much as baldelli would help the nats, he wont get playing time there unless they dump Kearns on someone and free up the glut of outfielders they have. I hope they get Teixiera too. If they do, look for them to trade Johnson for young pitchers.
What i said about Rocco, also goes for Bradley. I wanna see Rocco get a job though, he's a talented guy who's been through so much. Boston could use him as thier 4th outfielder

What is the Nats fascination with OF'ers?

I like the idea of the Reds signing 2 of the 3 (Baldelli, Rivera, Bradley). I feel 2 of those 3 plus Dickerson can make for a nice outfield to go along with Bruce.

Seems like Boston and Tampa figure to be out of the picture now with this news, I would think someone will give him a starting job, no?

does this mean Baldelli can actually play 140+ games now? man if he can be at full strength he can be a starting CF for anyone. like the Yanks =]

It is amazing what one season playing over your head can do for your career and fans' perceptions. Xavier Nady isn't much more than a platoon partner.
