Dont count Harriston as an OF. Janish not Valkia can handle the job everyday. Meaning Harriston is there unless we trade for McDonald.

An unfortunate time to scout Buchholz. He had a rare off-day today.
Buchholz is slowly becoming too old to be an elite prospect. He turns 25 in a month. Does Boston know something the rest of us don't re: Buchholz's ability to get out ML bats? All he's doing in AAA is slowly trickling away value as he gets older and none more proven.

He just becomes more valuable to Boston that way...Having him cost controlled through the entire prime of his career isn't a bad thing. Allowing him to develop fully at AAA and keep his salary down will just allow them to be more aggressive in the trade and free agent market.

Clay Bucholtz needs to be traded if he isn't going to be in Boston's rotation anytime soon. He has great numbers in the minors and would be a good centerpiece in aqquiring a big name like Halladay. My guess is that they either trade him with 2-4 other prospects to aqquire a big name or put him in the rotation when Penny and Smoltz leave.

Haha Nick Swisher that has to be the funniest screen name on here.

Halladay wont be traded inside the division, guaranteed. The only reason JP said he would consider it is to drive the price up because if other teams see the Bosox dangling Buchholz, other teams will think that they have to dangle as much or more.

He obviously doesn't want to play for Toronto.

Thats ok, we as Jays fans are not overly hot on the idea of trading away an all star, Cy Young, big game monster of a pitcher to a division rival for a whiney, immature pitcher that apparently isnt good enough to take a rotation spot away from John Smoltz or Brad Penny.

Just for your information fitz, I am a red sox fan, not a yankees fan. I made this account when Swisher was on the A's and I've been trying to change it ever since.

Francona announced after todays game that because Wakefield and Beckett will pitch at the All Star game Buchholz will be called up to start Friday and then be sent back down as Boston returns to its normal 5 man rotation.

xethicx, who are you to call anyone immature and whiney. After reading your posts here, thats like the pot calling the kettle black. Don't worry though, your season ends in less than 3 months again and Doc will hightail it out of Canada in 15 and then you can cry some more!

Coming from you, that all means pretty well nothing.

I think the injury to Bruce almost makes it a necessity for the Reds to pick up at least some kinda outfielder somewhere. I have always heard Jocketty is a wiz when it comes to trades. I have not really seen it as of yet. Reds definitely could use some pop now.
