    I think Marshall could steal the 5th spot in the rotation. I actually like him over Silva and Gorzellany….. Also why not sign Smoltz? He could be our rh setup option and if needed fill in at starter.

      agree on the smoltz thing i said that very thing yesterday

      I don’t think Smoltz would accept that position when he could go be the Mets’ #5.

    i actually really like Marshall in the pen. I think a platoon of him and Smoltz in the 8th inning could be really effective in setting up Marmol. I see Gorzelanny as more likely to fill out the fifth spot in the rotation than Marshall, although then again, anything can happen
