Agent: Getting DFA’d isn’t a bad thing, another team will see your value and pick you up and you’ll get more playing time elsewhere.

Well he has the option of refusing an assignment to AAA and just becoming a free agent. But with the lack of success he’s had lately, I don’t who would give him any playing time…

can’t we just release him instead of indefinitely paying him $600k a year to be at AAA? Seriously, my dead grandmother hits for more power than him

I would assume he’s on a split contract. Since he is now off the 40-man roster he will not receive major league wages.
