Olney: Dodgers, A's Still Talking Blanton

ESPN just had Buster Olney on to say that the Joe Blanton to the Dodgers talks are still ongoing.  Rosenthal had indicated that the Dodgers' offer last night fell short.

By the way, I changed the front page of this site to display 30 posts instead of 20, so that you can see everything I've written today just by scrolling.

The next hour will be crazy.

It seems as though the Met's might be a few steps behind. Oh well, think long term Omar. It would have been nice if they had drafted better though.

Tim, you must be getting hits through the roof.

Olney just said the A's are "picking through the minor leagues". My god this is scary. Going to get screwed by this.

There might be 5 fairly substantial trades done in the next hour.

Dotel
Blanton
Gagne
Cordero
etc. etc.

On a side note: The Dotel trade is being held up by physicals to players in the Teixera deal.

I'm picturing Schuerholz looking at his watch in the Doctor's office and telling the Doctor to hurry his ass up because the deadline is only an hour away.

"Goddammit, look to the left and cough, whatever, just hurry it up already."
