Story of the year. It's hard to sum up how bad his last few seasons were.

Guess the economy has hit him hard too.

Wow, who knew Erickson was still that young. Still, the guy's last somewhat respectable season was all the way back in the 90's. It'd definitely be a cool story, by call me a skeptic.

Old? Check.
Cheap? Check.
Garbage? Check.
Perfect. I would have told him to do something else to himself. Excuse me while I go shred my Twins ticket renewal notice.

He obviously heard Kris Benson was coming back and wants to compete for Comeback Pitcher of the Year with the hottest wife!

He hasn't played since 2006, which was only two years ago, but he hasn't posted an ERA+ above 82 since 1999, when he was still below league average with a 97.
I want to comfort him. I will introduce him to good literature and let him know that there is more to life than baseball.

Why not...he's the veteran that the Twins need to anchor the young pitching staff. Wait, no he's not. Please only offer him a minor league deal out of courtesy Billy Crystal style.
