Oooo....so with Aardsma off...does that make the 40-man roster at 38 now?

Nope, 39. Just counted, lol. Sorry, I thought it was at 39 before Aardsma was DFA.

what is the scouting report on aardsma?

"what is the scouting report on aardsma? "

He is first in line alphabetically.

Aardsma would be a perfect fit for the Pirates.....well I mean his name would be.

Aardsma's great when he's healthy, good fastball (tops at around 97 most days) and a good changeup (88ish), sometimes mixes in a slider. He anchored the pen in the first half of the season. Unfortunately some injuries made him almost useless over the final month or two last year (2.75 ERA April-July, 17.36 ERA August and September). He can go two innings without too much trouble.

Aardsma will be picked up. This guy can throw through a wall, if he can hit the wall.
This surprises me.

Throws hard. No movement on his pitches.

"This guy can throw through a wall, if he can hit the wall."

Very true.

I would the Braves should think about picking him up, but we had Resop last year and we all see how that went...

Haha. If you look up Aardsma at Urbandictionary.com there is a pretty funny definition.

that definition is hilarious...wonder which Red Sox fan up it up

put it up sorry

Speaking of. Im going to go Aardsma right now.

I liked this guy. Thought he would be back as effective a 1st half the season as he was.

Somebody can put a laser pointer on his finger to help guide him and put a mic on his ear directly to a good pitching coach and he could be a closer for somebody. When he's healthy, that splitter of his is downright nasty to go with his 95-97mph FB.

lol
some funny posts on this topic, made me laugh! I'm not going to aardsma today myslf though.

Too bad he's going, thought he has potential.

You would think a guy with Kotsay's CF chops and OBP ability would attract more attention

Theo if this is a bad move, the fans in Boston will make sure you get aardsma.
You should have gotten aardsma for trading for Gagne.

Gee Aardsma did much better then Devern Hansack, this guy shows me nothing. This could backfire on Theo.

I saw Hansack in that list & thought the same thing. What's the attraction to him...
