Lee was being discussed until the Indians said they werent going to deal him but now that Derosa has been moved, that could be the catalyst to moving guys Lee, V-Mart and other assets that could fetch big returns.
As for Bay not extending yet... wooo hoooo, good news for the Jays, I hope they make a run at him in the off season.

Anyone who is "confused" why Cliff Lee isn't being dangled more is only looking at it from the perspective of the buyers in the market, and not from the perspective of the Indians. This really isn't complicated at all.
If the Indians traded Cliff Lee, who on Earth would be in the rotation next year? Carl Pavano is a free agent (likely not to be re-signed), Sowers and Huff are back-end starters at best, Carmona is in the low minors trying to regain his form, Westbrook is trying to come back from Tommy John surgery...
The Indians still have a potent offense and a partially built pitching staff, and in the relatively weak AL Central they are absolutely contenders next year. Lee is a complete necessity for that team. If they tank *next* year, THEN Lee will be more likely to be traded. I really don't understand why a baseball "expert" wouldn't understand this, unless they are poorly out of touch with the Indians' situation and roster needs.

Unless the Indians get a deal as good or better than the Teiexiera to the Braves deal there is no way he's moved.
Max no sense for the Indians to move him as they are not in rebuild mode. With some help to the pen and a starter they can easily compete in 2010.
