I'm not sure if it's an argument that Rizzo should keep his job, because they gave up an awful lot of talent in Milledge and Hanrahan.
On the other hand, picking up an elite defensive center fielder that can get on base and steal a few is a good move, and Morgan is one of the most underrated players in the game if he's able to maintain his defensive metrics going foward.

Yeah, in this past series with the Braves, Morgan made four or five catches that the previous CF for the Nationals wouldn't have gotten to including a few that took a double away from Chipper and Kotchman.

If Kepler's got all five tools as have been advertised, I like the signing... though I really wish they'd focused more on Sano. The $3.2MM difference it would take to sign him and Kepler (assuming $4MM would get Sano, which, admittedly could be not enough) could look like a petty sum if Sano pans out. Then again, if they're on par, it looks like a win for us.
As for the Nats... Rizzo tanked on that trade. Morgan's glove is a welcome addition to a terrible offense, but it's selling way too low.
And how can Cameron comment on the Hairston deal until we know who the PTBNL is? If it turns out to be Gio Gonzalez, for example, I wouldn't say they win the trade.

I was thinking the same thing.
I think that it's more likely that the pitcher is Dana Eveland or Henry Rodriguez or basically not Gonzalez/Gallagher, but still.
I still think that the A's won, unless it is Gio or Gallagher, but it's not the worst deal that the Pads could've made.

Gallagher needs to figure himself out, but yeah I agree with that.
What's with his low number of innings pitched this season, Scribble? He's started 5 games at AAA but only logged 20.2 innings?
I don't follow the A's too closely... is he just getting stretched back out and re-adjusting to a starting role after being in the 'pen in Oakland?

It is no secret to anybody that Nolan Ryan and investors are gonna buy the Rangers, where is the secret there? Its why he became President in the first place.
