According to Tim Pearrell, the Braves have signed reliever Jorge Julio to a minor league deal. Julio may not contribute much at the big league level, but Frank Wren is probably just trying to add depth. Fortunately, Mike Gonzalez may finish his rehab assignment soon.

Yeah... depth. The guy CAN be good... sometimes... like, twice... whatever, he can't be any worse that Ridgway and his 1-pitch wonder.

no. the braves' season will be saved once frankie decides to acquire sidney ponson and brings back chad paronto. talk about studs! i'm sick of washed up overweight "fireballers" that could possibly at some point perhaps "solidify" the bullpen. why don't they bring in antonio alfonseca too? he's good for a save every three or four tries.

The braves are making a move for all of the guys who the Mets couldnt wait to get rid of. Julio is annoying, because he has sick stuff, he just doesnt know how to use it. I am pretty sure he has already worked with Mazzone and Peterson, so I doubt anything will work at this point. Maybe Dave Duncan. He reminds me of Benitez only more wild and less effective. Same sort of stuff though.
