A fun fact from Kovacevic: "If the Pirates could have traded Nady and Marte straight up for Jose Tabata last winter, Huntington said, 'We would have done it in a heartbeat.'"
i doubt anyone is baseball wouldnt have made that deal last yr, and i dont think any less of Tabata this year, so i like this deal now.

Obviously Tabata for Nady and Marte and last year would've been a no-brainer, but the scouting reports on Tabata this year have been universally terrible... I doubt the Yankees would have sold low on him if they thought he would be able to bounce back easily.
